On July 17, 2018, the same court ordered the media to disclose misleading information. At that time, Mr Valvonis explained to the SNB that the media did not respond to requests for rejection of misleading information. He appealed the court's decision.
Last September, it was announced that prosecutors had initiated criminal proceedings in court for possible dissemination of false information in the media of the media group Lietuvos Rytas on V. Valvonis.
The Attorney General's office announced that prosecutors of the Vilnius Regional Prosecutor's Office had completed the preliminary investigation opened in June 2016 and transferred the case to the Vilnius City District Court.
It was pointed out that the charges against the case concerned three persons.
