The flourishing tourism does not bring peace to the inhabitants: the summer is a curse

In the pond of the pond, for the detainees occupying farms, the summer, especially on weekends, turns into a kind of curse when not only the street, but even private courts are occupied by the cars of the holidaymakers, sometimes struck by music, and on the scenic site of these tourists, piles of garbage.

Upytičiai fears that the number of vacationers will continue to grow this year, while Panevėžys will start to occupy the coast of Ekranas Lagoon. It is likely that frequent leisure at the water's edge will be only a few kilometers from the city of Upytė.

In the summer, locals are forced to walk around the columns of their cars at home, asking the district municipality to do some kind of roadblocks and to drive aquatic enthusiasts at least a few hundred meters to the water's edge. pond with popular bathing waters.

Home – congested

According to Rasa Stundžienė, a representative of the six families who have signed this application to the district government, the situation in Upytė is becoming difficult for the inhabitants.

"The parking lot near the bathing water is too small for the number of holidaymakers who have discovered our resort and meet on hot summer days, especially on weekends," says Stundžienė.

Last summer, at the edge of the pond, Darbininkai Street was seen by the local population at the rate of 30, 60 cars at a time. According to Rasa, it is very important for an avid traveler to park the car as close as possible to the complex, preferably under the trees, regardless of whether the vehicles block the entrances to the courtyards or are just under the windows.

"The inhabitants will have to go home and at home. In summer, it's not just the weekend, but also the day in the evening. Later in the summer, people will not be able to get to the lake after work. Only a few kilometers from Panevėžys, the Upytė pond and its well-developed shoreline are very attractive, but we have a real problem, "says Stundžienė.

According to her, Darbininkų street is so narrow that it is inevitable to go on the pavement by driving through the cars arranged along the road.

"The inhabitants must bring firewood and hay, and pbad in front of the largest agricultural machinery. In summer, it is impossible to get the car of holidaymakers," said the woman.

The locals have learned to live

Even when parking near the station is empty, locals do not have time to rest. As there are some tables with chairs in the street, it is very convenient for the newcomers to leave the cars on the street, to start playing music from the car and to have fun.

The vivacity of holidaymakers is a frequent phenomenon for locals who are not funny.

"Some holidaymakers put our cars under the windows and when we opened the door, they sat down and spat on the sunflowers without knowing what they were doing wrong, and they built a car in the yard of their neighbors. Alienating even a garage door. When the company left at the end of the car, it was unclear why the guests of the yard were angry.

Another neighbor stood up and watched as the lady entered her yard trying to turn around. This, perhaps, after deciding that the man was watching too long, stopped attacking the site owner for blaming what he was doing without doing anything, doing something in life, do something. Knowing that a person has a business, a farm, at least he is not encouraged to host his yard and continue to learn how to live, "Stundžienė said.

Holidaymakers are offered a walk

According to the girl, most vacationers who meet at the edge of the pond do not have a high culture level. When a woman who had entered the local court last summer politely asked the hostess to park the car under the trees, the locals talked about it as an exceptional event.

"We did not ask for this very good bathing water, but if it happened to us, the municipality should create normal conditions and live for us. When there were paved streets, we repeated several times that they were too narrow. Then we explained that such requirements. We now have the result: there is no room for cars for holidaymakers here, "says a woman.

Residents believe that at least some of the road signs would save their peace. They propose to the municipality to ban the construction of cars on both sides of the road along the pond of Darbininkų and Tvenkinis streets and to install a traffic ban sign motorized at the second exit of the gravel parking.

"After entering Upytė, there is a big street. There you can build a car and make a trip of half a kilometer on the gravel road leading to the bathing area, "says the daughter of the girl.

Encouraged tourism

A few days ago, Eugenijus Lunskis, director of the administration of the depreciation of the inhabitants of Upytė, who had been taken to the district municipality of Panevėžys, claims that he only l 'l l l,,,,,,,,,,,. has not seen it yet.

According to him, requests for installation of road signs are being reviewed by the Municipal Traffic Safety Commission, with the participation of representatives of the police, maintenance companies of roads, elderly people and municipal specialists. The commission is led by E. Lunski himself. According to him, the commission will also examine the girls' demand.

The use of headaches for the local population ended about four years ago. According to Lunskis, the EU has received support from the EU for the creation of such a venue for the promotion of local tourism. European funds were used to set up kayaking stops on the Nevis coast, in the Upyt order of Chichinsk Hill, and featuring a beach.

"There are not many tourist sites in the district, and in Upyt, there is a beautiful complex – the Čičinskas mound, the handicraft center, the linen museum", – E. Lunskis explained the investments in the infrastructure of Upytė.
