Arkansas 5, Texas Tech 6 – 6th lower inning

Kole Ramage is ready to start this round.

Kopps: 1.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1BB, 2K, 19 slots.

Tech gets the lead man with a step, he steals the second and advances to the third on the pitch. Opitz had some ground in the dirt and would have been late on the pitch. The next hitter is walking and there are runners on the corners.

Ramage’s night is over after not recording an outing. Right-hander Ryan Costeiu for the Hogs

Ramage: 0.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER (the two runners are under his responsibility) 1 BB, 0 K, 15 throws.

Another potential game point for the Razorbacks, but this time the roll is too slow for the turn to come on time. The pigs come out the second. Tech scores a race and regains the lead.

Arkansas 5, Texas Tech 5 – 6th intermediate round

Arkansas have the bases loaded with no out after one shot and two walks, and the day is over for Wells. Ryan Sublette for the Red Raiders

Wells: 0.1 IP 0 H, 0R, 0 ER (the three riders are under his responsibility). 0 K, 2 BB, 18 slots.

Nesbit starts to look. He is the second Razorback to cross with the bases loaded today.

Jalen Battles put a charge in one, one jumping the fence in left field and the Razorbacks score 2 to reduce the lead to 5-3 Texas Tech. Robert Moore amassed three good batting today and he’s with runners in goal position and one off for the Hogs.

A wild pitch sets up another race for the Razorbacks. 5-4 Tech.

Robert Moore does his job, he flies down the center right and Battles scores and scores easily. Arkansas responds to Tech’s five races with four of theirs in the top of the 6th.

Franklin strikes for the third time this game, but the Hogs took advantage of the free passes the Red Raiders handed out and drew.

Arkansas 1, Texas Tech 5 – End of 5th inning

Runion starts the inning with a brace, then Vermillion passes the next batter and his night is over. Caden Monke is ready to introduce the Razorbacks. Monke is arguably the best ground ball pitcher in the Razorbacks.

Vermillion: 4.0 IP, 3 H, 0R, 0 ER (the two runners are under his responsibility) 4 km, 2 BB, 59 lengths.

The Red Raiders charge the bases and Conley makes a single through the right side of the infield. Tech scores 2 to take the lead. Monke’s night is over after giving up 2 hits to the only 2 hitters he faced.

Kevin Kopps will arrive with riders in the first and second rows without anyone.

The first hitter hits a first pitch slider just between Kopps’ legs for a single RBI. Tech leads 3-1.

A wild pitch goes through Opitz, then a hit gives Texas Tech a 5-1 lead. The enclosure hasn’t been spectacular so far for the Razorbacks. They don’t have an exit yet.

Kopps gets the last two hitters on the out to complete the inning, but the damage was done by the Red Raiders scoring 5 runs on 5 hits.

Arkansas 1, Texas Tech 0 – 5th Intermediate Round

Arkansas loaded the bases with 1 out. Nesbit walked, Battles celebrated, and Moore walked. Arkansas has Christian Franklin. This is the best chance for the Razorbacks to score this game.

Franklin knocked out looking for a 3-2 slider.

Arkansas is on the council. Cullen Smith is working a walk and the Razorbacks take the lead.

Birdsell’s night is over. 0.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2K, 30 steps. In the pitch is right-hander Levi Wells.

Arkansas will only get one point after Webb places third to complete the round.

Arkansas 0, Texas Tech 0 – End of 4th inning

Braydon Webb leaps forward just past the Razorback bullpen in left center field. It could find its way to SportsCenter.

Vermillion gets an out and hover to complete the round. Vermillion is at 51 locations. He could go out for the fifth. Van Horn said the pitching limit will be around 60 slots this weekend. Something to watch out for for the next round.

Monteverde night finished its line – 4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 5 K, 2 BB, 64 pitches

Right-hander Brandon Birdsell is for the Red Raiders.

Arkansas 0, Texas Tech 0 – Average 4th inning

Arkansas goes in order in the 4th inning. Two Groundouts and a Flyout have the game still aimless.

Monteverde threw 64 shots for the Red Raiders.

Arkansas 0, Texas Tech 0 – End of 3rd round

Texas Tech threatened in the inning to get the top two hitters, but Vermillion blocked the runners with two starts and one strikeout.

Vermillion threw 38 shots in 3 innings for the Hogs.

Arkansas 0, Texas Tech 0 – 3rd intermediate round

Monteverde gets Jacob Nesbit on a high ball. Nesbit worked the full count, but couldn’t connect.

The battles are fought on a fastball, this one hitting 91 mph according to the announcers. Monteverde pulled out 5 Razorbacks for the first time in the lineup.

Robert Moore selected left field for the Razorbacks first hit of the year. He took a fast bullet and shot it.

Moore was taken off early, but he never stopped running in the second and slipped before the stray throw.

Moore is on the move this round. He flew third base, couldn’t see the tag or the jump, but he seemed to be there in a long time. Moore had three interceptions in the shortened covid-19 season. He has two in the first game.

The Hogs had runners around the corners after a walk from Franklin, but Smith found himself at the shortstop to finish the round.

Arkansas 0, Texas Tech 0 – End of 2nd inning

There is no radar gun reading on the show, but announcers said Vermillion hit 93 mph this round. He struck out the first two hitters on four pitches.

Former Razorback Easton Murrell hits an error stopping Jalen Battles. Battles couldn’t do it properly and Murrell beat the throw. Vermillion hits the next batter on the first pitch.

Vermillion comes out of the sleeve by hitting Runion on a ground in the dirt. Arkansas will have 8,9,1 expected at the top of 3rd.

Arkansas 0, Texas Tech 0 – 2nd intermediate heat

Texas Tech starter Patrick Monteverde has his job breaking ball early. He hits the first two hitters of the inning, but Casey Opitz works a walk to give the Razorbacks their first baseline runner of the game. Opitz was able to move to second base on rough dirt and rough terrain, but Wallace ended up third to complete the round. Montverde hasn’t overpowered the Arkansas hitters with speed, but his breaking stuff gives the Hogs a guess.

Arkansas 0, Texas Tech 0 – End of 1st round

Leadoff Dru Baker makes it to Jalen Battles at the shortstop. 1 exit.

Cal Conley places a ball in the middle for the first hit of the game.

Dylan Neuse starts a 6-4-3 double play. Moore battles Cullen Smith at first to end the round.

We heard a lot about Battles and Moore’s double play combo during the offseason and the duo didn’t disappoint this round. Very smooth in the middle.

Arkansas 0, Texas Tech 0 – 1st intermediate heat

Robert Moore flies to the left to start the round. 1 exit.

Christian Franklin strikes by swinging on a brittle ball. 2 outputs.

Braydon Webb flies to the shortstop and the Hogs go in order at the top of the set.
