Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said his deputies would not enforce a new stay-at-home order announced by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday.
The order came as cases escalated across the state and country.

“I want to stay away from business [sic] who are trying to comply, they bent over backwards to modify their operations to comply with those orders and then they ripped the rug out from under them, that’s a disservice, I don’t want to make them more miserable ”, a he told FOX 11 in Los Angeles, according to a tweet.
