Georginio Wijnaldum has reportedly decided to leave Liverpool at the end of the season to join Barcelona.
The Sunday Times claims the Dutchman has already made a pre-contract deal to become the first signing of Joan Laporta’s second term as president.
The player’s current contract expires this summer, so it would be a free transfer.

Reinforcements in the midfield are a priority for Ronald Koeman, with the club having their hands tied in the window last summer due to financial woes.
The move is also seen as a vote of confidence in Koeman, whose team is returning to form after a difficult first half of the season.

“ It always depends on the situation but I would be devastated [if] I haven’t played with this team anymore, that’s for sure, ” he said.
