EXCLUSIVE: Hunters Star Logan Lerman set to join Sony action thriller High-speed train with Brad Pitt. Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, Michael Shannon and Andrew Koji are also on board.
Hobbs and Shaw Director David Leitch will also direct and oversee the screenplay, which will be written by Zak Olkewicz.
The film is based on the Japanese novel Maria beetle by bestselling author Kotaro Isaka. Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada of CTB Inc., who represent Isaka and IP, are the executive producers of the project.
Kelly McCormick to produce High-speed train at 87North with Antoine Fuqua. Kat Samick is the executive producer and Brittany Morrissey is the director overseeing the project for Sony Pictures. Plot details are vague and it’s unclear who Lerman will play.
Lerman can currently be seen in Amazon Hunters, which was picked up for a second season and will be filming next year. Previously, he starred alongside Pitt in David Ayer’s WWII film Fury and starred in Stephen Chbosky’s Charlie’s world. His other credits include Jim Mangold 3:10 at Yuma alongside Russell Crowe and Christian Bale, Darren Aronofsky’s Noah and the title character in the Percy Jackson franchise. He will then be seen alongside Elisabeth Moss, Odessa Young and Michael Stuhlbarg in Joséphine Decker’s film. Shirley. Lerman also produces numerous film projects with his production partner Jonathan Schwartz.
