Logitech tries a second time to resurrect its famous MX518 gaming mouse. The original debuted in the middle of the last decade and was commended for its ergonomic design and gaming performance. The company then provided the mouse with an internal upgrade and a light refresh outside. with G400 Optical Gaming Mouse in 2011.

Today, Logitech announced the launch of a new New MX518 game mouse. That's right, he takes the name of progenitor and retains the same basic concept again. While the form is instantly familiar, Logitech has improved the materials and includes what it calls a "Nightfall" color scheme to give the mouse a more modern look.

This last iteration of the MX518 receives upgraded internal elements again: you'll find a HERO 16K optical sensor (100 to 16,000 DPI), a 32-bit ARM processor, and a 1 ms report rate. PPP settings can be adjusted on the fly using the "+" and "-" buttons above and below the scroll wheel. The mouse also includes eight programmable buttons and a built-in memory allowing you to recall your game profiles (up to five), even if you switch from one computer to another.

Repeating its "retro" theme, the MX518 remains a wired mouse and includes a USB cable 7 feet long.

Logitech currently offers the MX518 Gaming Mouse for $ 59.99. If a cord does not bother you, it could be a good "vehicle" for a trip to the past. Although we have to say, we want Logitech to simply make the same mouse with a wireless option; it would really bridge the gap between yesterday and today.
