Long lines are forming in US target stores in the event of a widespread blackout

June 15 (UPI) – Some Target stores across the United States reported that their records were operational again after a nationwide outage on Saturday afternoon.

The big chain recognized just after 3pm on Saturday, the registers were down in the country's Target stores, causing long queues, as customers were "unable to shop".

The company said the teams "are working as fast as possible to solve this problem".

Target indicated that online orders on its website were not affected by the outage.

Employees at Target stores, including Arlington, VA, and Los Angeles, Obama Boulevard and La Cienega, reported that their systems were back online by Saturday afternoon.

Target operates 1,849 stores in the United States. It was not clear if any shops were not affected by the blackout.
