Update: Well, it didn’t last long. The trailer that was originally included in the report below has been removed. We replaced it with screenshots from the advertisement, but it’s not clear how long those will stay awake.
Original story:
The new Call of Duty Warzone season 3 map is said to have leaked in an unfinished live-action commercial featuring celebrities like Young Thug and Jack Harlow.
The trailer, first shared by Walking on eggshells, gives a preview of what appears to be an 80s Verdansk, rather than an entirely new map. Long-standing rumors have argued that an upcoming Warzone nuclear event will result in a drastically different map, but what we see in the TV spot below appears to have the same general layout of the current Verdansk map, but with benchmarks of Cold War era and an 80s Filter.
While still unconfirmed at the time of writing, VGC reports that the images and trailer are true representations of Warzone season 3’s transition to Black Ops Cold War. According to Charlie Intel, Activision is sending out DMCA takedowns left and right, so it’s hard to find the trailer right now. For now, check out these screenshots:

Many of the trailer’s locations look like twists and turns on existing landmarks in Verdansk – the stadium still appears to be under construction, there is a bridge in place of the dam, and the city center has an 80s aesthetic, per example – but you can also see new areas. VGC takes note of a new mine shaft area and what the Duga-2 radar looks like from Black Ops Cold War’s Ashes to Ashes mission.
We’ve long suspected that Warzone’s merger with Black Ops Cold War would result in a Cold War-themed map, but it wasn’t clear whether this would just be a new version of Verdansk or a new card entirely. One dominant theory is that the new map would take place in the Cold War Black Ops Ural Mountains, and nothing here necessarily debunks that theory. As a Redditor points out, there is a possibility that the new Verdansk will expand to include new areas of the Ural Mountains.
Warzone Season 3 does not yet have an official start date, but since the current Battle Pass expires on April 21, you can expect the new season to begin the same day or the next.
