Lovers of animated plastic bricks and intergalactic battles, rejoice! It seems that a brand new LEGO Star Wars video game is in preparation.

This weekend was the host of Star Wars Celebration – which you can probably guess is there is a gathering of fans celebrating everything related to Star Wars – and during the event, Matt Wood of Skywalker Sound seemed to blurt out that a new project was on the way. To clarify, Skywalker Sound is an audio division of Lucasfilm, responsible for all the sound elements of Star Wars movies.

He actually notes that a lot of Star Wars projects are about to happen, but this LEGO tease intrigues us naturally. You can hear his comments below.

The game was not officially tackled by Warner Bros. publisher. from LEGO, but Eurogamer's people shared a little more potential information. According to Eurogamer sources, this upcoming game will be "more than a simple adaptation of the last two episodes of the saga", following the one of 2016. LEGO Star Wars: The awakening of the force, and while these two episodes will be included, the game will apparently "tell the story of the whole saga".

Eurogamer says it has been described as the "ultimate" LEGO Star Wars game. Naturally, we will keep an eye on any official confirmation of the upcoming game; it'll be interesting to see if it ends on Switch.

Would you be ready for a new LEGO Star Wars game? Does this sound like an exciting prospect? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
