Lori Loughlin’s Daughter Olivia Jade Triggers ‘DWTS’ Backlash By Saying She Is ‘Most Known’ As An Influencer

Whether you know her from her beauty-based YouTube channel or the infamous college admissions scandal, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade. Again, Jade is in hot water, but this time it’s for what she said when she Dancing with the stars start. In her DWTS intro, Jade says she’s best known for being an influencer, and people have strong opinions about it.

What may have seemed like a simple sentence to her quickly became the start of another Olivia Jade scandal. Many say she is best known for her and her family’s involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal, where her parents, and many others, bribed college officials to enroll their children in high-level schools. For Jade, that meant being accepted into the University of Southern California (USC) under the misconception that she was a “highly talented” champion rower.

After the scandal was made public, Jade dropped out of USC to focus on her role as a full-time influencer, which led her to DWTS. She said, “I’m not trying to draw a pity card, but I have to go ahead and do better. I just want to show people that I have a different side to me. I have a strong work ethic.

Jade and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, Ukrainian dancer and double winner of DWTS, danced a salsa to Lizzo’s “Juice”. The performance was well received, with judge Carrie Ann Inaba complimenting Jade’s “great lines and beautiful legs” in her comments.

Sadly, beautiful lines and legs can’t save someone from Twitter. One person tweeted, “Best known for being a licensed cheater!” And another Tweeter, “And of course, they pair Olivia Jade with Valentin, the show’s most beloved pro. I see what this show is trying to do.

Despite Twitter and most of the social media that has looked into Jade’s case, Jade’s partner is firmly on her side, telling Jade on the show, “I support you. I don’t really look at your past. It is what you do here for me that is important. Dancing with the stars is a perfect opportunity for the world to see a different side of Olivia.

Maybe fans will see that different side of Olivia mentioned above, or maybe the scandals will continue to happen. Either way, fans are glued to the screens every time DWTS jump up.
