Los Angeles 4 Football Club, Seattle Sounders FC 1 | Summary of the match MLS 2019

The Los Angeles football club dominated Seattle Sounders FC at home on Easter Sunday, leading visitors to a 4-1 victory at the Banc of California stadium.

Carlos Vela, who now has 10 goals in the lead, scored twice in the rout. His first shot came in the 12th minute, then the other came in the 55th minute beating Stefan Frei.

Eduard Atuesta added a goal in the 39th minute as Roman Torres mysteriously attempted a tentative tackle on the slide in the box. Atuesta avoided the Panamanian and made no mistake.

The best goal came in the 61st minute, however, as Christian Ramirez completed LAFC's fourth goal after a great combination at the top of the box.

Before the return leg of next weekend's CenturyLink Field, Seattle's only lifeline was in the 51st minute when Harry Shipp was coming home. He capitalized on a slip of Jordan Harvey in the surface, then spotted the farthest corner.

In the meantime, consider this as a statement from LAFC.

Three things

  • THE GREAT IMAGE: In a showdown featuring two major teams from the Western Conference, it was ultimately not a contest. LAFC has been dominant from start to finish, playing the fluent football on which head coach Bob Bradley preaches. As for Seattle, it was too difficult to defeat forward Will Bruin and Raul Ruidiaz, as well as center back Chad Marshall. We are back to the drawing board in anticipation of the return match of the next weekend.
  • MOMENT OF THE GAME: The goal of Christian Ramirez might not be the goal of the week, but what a beautiful game it has been. He followed in the center, took off for a race behind the back line and recovered a ball before coming back at close range. 'Twas the beautiful game at its best.

  • MAN OF THE GAME: We give this boost to two LAFC players after such a dominant performance, both in the middle of the midfield. Eduard Atuesta and Mark-Anthony Kaye led the show all night, combining for one goal and four assists. They have been tempo promoters, disruptive forces, creators and finishers. In truth, you can not ask for much more.
