Diners at a Los Angeles sidewalk cafe were approached Tuesday by a pair of cheeky thieves who approached them with guns in broad daylight along a busy street.
Security footage from the incident shows three customers dining at La Creme Cafe on Melrose Avenue around 5 p.m. when two people wearing hoodies and at least one displaying a handgun approach.
One of the suspects appears to be checking a customer’s pockets while the other rummages through a purse and shopping bags on the table as the visibly shaken diners are seated.

A woman drops her cell phone on the floor before a suspect picks it up and puts it in a bag. The robbery lasted less than 20 seconds before the suspects fled.
The Los Angeles Police Department said no injuries were reported.
The owner of the cafe, who provided the footage to Fox News, said via text message: “I realize all of these [sic] the news will negatively impact my business. Although… silence won’t help anyone.
“The mayor and the governor must step in and let the police do their job PROPERLY,” he added.

Fox Los Angeles has announced that one of the suspects has been arrested.
The bustling area around Melrose Avenue is rife with crime, the cafe owner said.
Last month, a sneaker store worker was killed in an argument over a raffle a few blocks from the cafe. Jayren Bradford was shot dead outside the Shoe Palace after trying to broadcast an argument between a group of people.
A 16-year-old suspect was arrested the next day.
