The Los Angeles Lakers have had so many ups and downs this season that it's impossible to say at this point whether they will be able to qualify for the playoffs or not. They were in fourth place in the Western Conference, but as soon as LeBron James was injured, they finally started to march and are now three games in 10th place in the playoffs. One of the rumored issues is a conflict between players and head coach Luke Walton. Although many deny that this is true, it is undeniable that Walton's days are probably numbered.

After the defeat of the Lakers against pelicans this weekend, it seemed that the team bus was gone without Walton. Now, no, that does not mean that Walton is about to leave, but seeing this is just a testament to the kind of season it has been for the Lakers up to now.

"It was so interesting, I talked to SKC members that I know while the Lakers bus is starting, and suddenly Luke Walton comes around the corner. ", writes David Grubb on Twitter. "He had to come back for the coach, damn shame."

The Lakers are now at a record of 29-30. If they fail to reach the playoffs, it will be the first time since 2005 that LeBron does not play in the playoffs.
