The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) released a new video of a spectacular police shootout last month showing a passer-by opening fire on police in South Los Angeles.
On April 20, at 9:20 am, two officers from the LAPD Law Enforcement Division spotted a white BMW crossing a stop sign, turning left then at full speed, announced Captain Gapelle Espinoza, of the critical incident, compiled from the video of the incident. bodycam videos and neighborhood surveillance videos posted on YouTube.
After a short chase, the driver suddenly stopped and got out of the car and rushed with a firearm into the Pueblo Del Rio social housing complex in downtown Alameda, Los Angeles. announced Espinoza.

The video shows that both officers sued the driver, whom they described as a black man. But then, we see a second man dressed in a white shirt, which was later identified as Curley Duff, approaching one of the officers, Enrique Trujillo, who is showing the video.
Duff, 39, pulled a handgun from his belt and shot Trujillo, who then fired several times. The two men were injured in a shootout. The first officer then doubled to help his partner.
On April 24, prosecutors accused Duff of attempting to assassinate a police officer.
The investigation remains in progress.
