A Los Angeles coronavirus vaccination site has been temporarily forced to close after protesters blocked the entrance.
David Ortiz, a firefighter with the Los Angeles Fire Department, told The Hill that the department temporarily closed the doors of Dodgers Stadium between 1:50 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. because there were protesters outside.
About fifty anti-vaccine and far-right protesters gathered at the entrance on Saturday afternoon, The Los Angeles Times reported for the first time. The site is generally open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
About 12,000 people are expected to be vaccinated there each day, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
An article on social media shows protesters wearing no masks and wearing chants saying “99.6% survival rate” and “I only like muzzles in the bedroom”.

Another video by Beverly Hills Inquirer reporter Samuel Braslow shows unmasked protesters marching towards the entrance to Dodgers Stadium with signs reading “COVID = scam” and “Tell Bill Gates to get vaccinated”.

The Los Angeles Police Department said on Twitter that it was aware of social media posts from protesters arriving at the site.
“Initial reports indicate that the protesters remained peaceful, ”the department tweeted. “The LAPD has NOT closed the doors, and according to LA City Fire, all scheduled vaccines will be delivered.”
