BURBANK, Calif. (AP) – Thousands of drivers blocked traffic on a busy highway in the Los Angeles area Friday night after a lawsuit that lasted more than an hour.

At one point after getting into a cruise car, the man made a window gesture with what appeared to be a knife.

The man borrowed Interstate 5 from Burbank in the wrong direction, finally managed to cross a police barrier and hit several cars before stopping.

Police evacuated drivers from their cars while their weapons were being dragged. The driver finally came out. It appeared that the police had used a stun gun on him, prompting him to get back in the car.

An impasse continued and finally ended when the man got out of the car, lay there for a moment and tried to run away. He was stopped.
