As the preseason was in full swing on Tuesday, a number of players returned from injury for Seattle. Here are the players who returned, followed by what Pete Carroll had to say about the players.
Return day for #Seahawks, and not just Luke Willson.
These previously injured were back on the pitch:
CB DJ Reed (looking at the starting work)
S / nickel Marquise Blair
LT Jamarco Jones
OT Cédric Ogbuehi
QB Geno Smith
WR Penny Hart
RB Travis Homer (off PUP list)
LB Jon Rhattigan #GoArmy– Gregg Bell (@gbellseattle) August 24, 2021
After a few weeks of uncertainty at the center position, Ethan Pocic resumed training on Tuesday, without however fully participating.
Carroll said Ethan Pocic was on a number of throws today and that they will make sure to relieve him with his hamstring issue. But he said there was still time for Pocic to secure the starting center post, which recently belonged to Kyle Fuller.

Deejay Dallas has been the running back star this preseason, but a healthy Travis Homer is now throwing himself into the mix for full-scale backup competition.
Carroll said he was excited about Travis Homer’s return and noted how good a pass blocker he is. He could well return to the third down back competition, which seems quite open.

Unfortunately, all was not a recovery for Seattle today; it was reported that Tre Brown fell with a knee injury.
Now rookie Tre Brown is injured and not training for cornerback. “Knee pain,” says Pete Carroll.
Carroll says #Seahawks“Trading with Houston today to get CB John Reid is to remedy that.

And here are some clips of Carroll talking about tight end injuries and signature updates (yes, Luke Willson is back. again).
Tyler Mabry returned to training today, but Colby Parkinson remains out. Pete Carroll said it won’t be clear for some time whether Parkinson’s will be ready by week one. He called his foot injury a “really slight” undisplaced fracture. Here’s Carroll on Seattle re-signing Luke Willson: pic.twitter.com/BxWR3S33T3

To end on a happy note, the return of Luke Willson means Techno Tuesday is back! The Super Bowl XLVIII champion made his teammates dance to his music today.
