LOUISA, Ky. (WTVQ) A 34-year-old man from Louisa was arrested Thursday on charges of child pornography and weapons.

Kentucky State Police say Phillip Adam Webb is charged with two counts of first-time distribution of an act depicting sexual performance by a minor under 12 and one count of possession of a weapon fist by a convicted felon.

Webb was arrested after a secret Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Kentucky State Police Station 14 and Ashland Police opened an investigation after discovering the suspect was uploading child exploitation footage, the KSP said.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant on Thursday at a home in Louisa, Lawrence County, on the West Virginia line. Equipment used to facilitate the crime has been seized and will be taken to the Ashland Police Department for examination.

Additionally, a handgun was found in Webb’s bedroom, the KSP said, and his criminal history revealed he was a convicted felon.

The investigation is underway by Detective David Boarman.

He was housed at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
