The Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,513 additional confirmed coronavirus cases and 16 additional deaths in its noon Sunday update.

Hospitalizations climbed from 122 to 1,196.

Sunday’s figures reflect the equivalent of two days of data; the health department does not publish case numbers on Saturdays.

The state reported another 128 probable cases on Sunday.

Here are other key statewide statistics as of Sunday:

– Total number of confirmed cases: 220,309

– Total number of confirmed deaths: 6,152

– Currently hospitalized: 1196

– Currently on fans: 125

– Presumed cured: 192 488 to 22 November (updated weekly)

Note: Staff at The Advocate and The Times-Picayune are calculating daily increases in the number of cases based on the difference between today’s total and yesterday’s total of confirmed coronavirus cases. The Louisiana Department of Health publishes a daily count of cases on Twitter based on the removal of duplicate cases. This number of cases may be different from the one listed here.

Louisiana began reopening for Phase 1 on May 15-16, then moved to Phase 2 on June 5. Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards extended Louisiana’s Phase 2 restrictions twice in August before moving the state to Phase 3 on September 11.
