Louisiana man arrested on 100 counts of first-degree rape

A 71-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested on suspicion of 100 counts of first-degree rape, Rapides parish law enforcement announced.

Harvey Joseph Fountain was accused of sexually abusing juvenile victims in Pineville, La., In the 1970s and '80s, and was arrested last in 50 counts of first-degree rape. As the investigation continued, he was booked on an additional 50 counts.

First-degree rape, Louisiana's most severe load for sexual crimes, carries no statute of limitations, according to BuzzFeed News. The burden refers to crimes in which they are younger than 13 years old, elderly, disabled, overcome by force, or facing severe injury or death.
