Since the start of the pandemic, Thomas has seen patients fail to survive. He even contracted COVID-19 himself and, although he has relatively mild symptoms, admitted he was afraid of the outcome when he was diagnosed.
“I think it’s real, I think it’s logical, it’s science, and we should recognize that possibility when we think of our loved ones,” he said.
