Loves Furniture Formally Files Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

WARREN, me. – Loves Furniture, the company that has taken over many of the closed Art Van Furniture sites, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Loves Furniture’s bankruptcy was filed in U.S. bankruptcy court on Wednesday. Art Van Furniture filed for bankruptcy in March of last year.

In May of last year, it was announced that Loves Furniture would reopen 27 closed Art Van locations in six states, including 17 in Michigan.

LILY: Loves Furniture customers report long delivery delays

Before filing for bankruptcy, Loves Furniture had announced that some establishments were going to close. Customers were reporting long delivery delays.

The filler document says Loves Furniture has between 100 and 199 creditors and between $ 10 million and $ 50 million in debt.
