BATON ROUGE – LSU Football, ranked fourth, totals 610 yards of offense and becomes the 12th program in the history of the NCAA Division I to win 800 games, while the Tigers defeated the Northwestern State, 65-14, Saturday at Tiger Stadium.
LSU (3-0), who had at least 300 yards for the fourth game in a row, scored 48 unanswered points to end the game, including a shutout at 41-0 in the second period.
The Tigers will resume the fight on September 21 as they travel to Nashville to face Vanderbilt. The send-off is scheduled for 11:00 am on an ESPN network to be announced Sunday. After an opening date, September 28, LSU's next home games are October 5 and 12, when Utah State and Florida will visit Tiger Stadium.

Senior quarterback Joe Burrow led the Tigers almost unstoppable offensive, completing 21 assists for a total of 373 yards with two touchdowns and one interception that led to the touchdown in the second quarter.
