the so anticipated second half of Lucifer Season Five arrival on Netflix end of May, so there is not much for the DC Comics fans to do except to constantly wonder about season six, the last installment of the series. The show’s San Diego Comic-Con @ Home panel knew this and adapted their lineup for Luci fans accordingly.
Tom ellis, the cheeky devil himself, sat down with Lucifer executive producers Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich to set up the sequel (in a clever twist, Luke Cook, who played Lucifer on a different Netflix Series—The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina—was the panel host). Season five, which aired in two parts thanks to production delays linked to Covid, explored the very complicated dynamics that emerged when a tired god (Dennis Haysbert) visited Earth and declared his intention to take his retirement, prompting his sons Lucifer (Ellis) and Michael (also Ellis, doing an American accent) to fight over who gets the job as a replacement. Plus there were all kinds of other Lucifer shenanigans, including the deaths of some crucial characters, musical acts and romantic get-togethers, and even time for some crime-solving and glamorous Los Angeles shots along the way.

There are some funny things about season five — the musical episode gets a lot of attention—abig accessories at Lucifer for taking the time to include some fan questions in the panel (even if they belonged to “which character would you most like to play besides Lucifer? ” variety). But the news of season six was the main draw, and the panel announced that it would surprisingly arrive on Netflix. soon: September 10. Other details were less concrete: one or two favorite guest stars will return; Amenadiel (DB Woodside) will pursue a new career at LAPD; and She (Aimée Garcia) strength ultimately realize the truth about Lucifer.
WWhen host Cook asked if Lucifer would really have all the powers of God, as the season five cliffhanger suggested, Henderson was left vague: “I think it will be one of the first questions our characters will be asking when we start season six.
“He’s got quite a few mysteries to solve in season six,” Ellis said of his character. “He’s grown up a lot, and he’s still growing up, but I think it’s that classic thing of ‘be careful what you wish for. Because he convinced himself of a lot of things over the course of season five, but when something you think about actually happens, it often looks a lot different. So this is the kind of puzzle that Lucifer finds himself in, in season six.
