"Lucifer" renewed for the fifth and last season at Netflix – Variety

"Lucifer" is coming to an end.

Variety confirmed that the series had been renewed for a fifth and final season at Netflix. The series had already been aired on Fox for three seasons before Netflix resurrected it for a fourth. The fourth season debuted on the streaming service in early May.

"We are delighted that fans of" Lucifer "from around the world have adopted this series on Netflix, and we look forward to giving them the big result that they all expected," said a Netflix spokesperson in a communicated.

"Lucifer" is centered on Tom Ellis as the Fallen Titular Angel and Lord of Hell, who collaborates with the LAPD to eliminate the criminals of the Earth. The series also features Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez and Rachael Harris.

"Lucifer" is produced by Warner Bros. Television in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television, after characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo of DC Entertainment. Tom Kapinos developed "Lucifer" for television. The series is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Joe Henderson, Ildy Modrovich, Sheri Elwood and KristieAnne Reed.
