Lucky Joe receives phone call from Chinese President Xi Jinping: Guess

The only American who should really give thanks for his good fortune today is Joe Biden.

Lucky Joe. The president without trying, stuck his head out of his basement several times, took a lot of naps. The Chauncey Gardiner of Presidents has been touched by a rainbow, and how the media rejoice!

“President-Elect Biden.” They can’t say it often enough when asking hard-hitting questions about Donald Trump’s seriousness.

Biden’s new team is “like the Avengers.” . . the upcoming superheroes save us all, ”gushed PBS’s Yamiche Alcindor.

They “won’t be political,” NBC’s Andrea Mitchell said. LOL.

On MSNBC, Nicolle Wallace spoke lyrical about “Biden’s Empathy and Humanity.” . . [It] is an implicit reprimand for the handling of Donald Trump’s foreign policy, ”she said.

“Joy to the world, the assets are gone,” sang ABC’s Ana Navarro on “The View”. “Let’s have Joe Biden.”

Have you seen his socks! Navy blue with dog tracks. Wonderful. . . not Trump.

That’s the only distinction Biden has: he’s not Trump.

But that’s more than enough to earn him the adulation of the world, especially China, who know his salad days are back.

Like clockwork yesterday, a day after Biden unveiled his Foreign Policy and National Security team Certainly Not America, Chinese President Xi Jinping phoned to congratulate him.

Xi said he hoped that “the two sides will respect the spirit of. . . win-win cooperation. “

Oh yes, Biden knows all about “win-win cooperation” with China.

They win and then they win again.

Biden was the Obama administration’s go-to man for Beijing when millions of American jobs were shipped to China.

It started with China’s entry into the World Trade Organization in 2001. It was the last time “win-win” was loaded with so much irony, when President Bill Clinton hailed the move as “A win-win result for both countries”.

After that, the trade deficit exploded. We couldn’t compete with low wages, and the AFL-CIO estimated that U.S. manufacturing wages fell between 46% and 86%.

Much of this wealth was transferred to multinational corporations which woke up thanks to the profits.

Now, China will have even more fun fucking American workers, thanks to Biden’s $ 2 trillion version of the Green New Deal, developed with Bernie Sanders this year.

Biden’s first presidential agenda on “day one,” he says, is to join the Paris climate agreement, which President Trump finally managed to get us out of just three weeks ago.

At a press conference Tuesday, Biden described climate change as an “existential threat” and an “urgent national security issue.”

To remedy this, he appointed John Kerry, the former Secretary of State who brought us to Paris in 2015, as “envoy for the climate”.

“For the first time ever, there will be a director in the National Security Council who can make sure climate change is on the agenda in the situation room,” Biden said.

Kerry paid tribute to her new boss: “You are right that Paris alone is not enough.

And yet, since Trump pulled out of Paris, we’ve actually reduced our carbon footprint while increasing jobs and lowering energy prices.

The boom in fracking in oil and gas production made us independent of energy last year, strengthening our national security as there is no longer an incentive to wage wars in the Middle East.

All this cheap energy saves the average American family $ 3,000 a year, and because natural gas burns cleaner than coal, emissions are lower.

This is what you call a true “win-win”, not the Orwellian version proposed by Xi.

The Paris agreement “was not designed to save the environment,” Trump said at the G-20 summit in a speech Monday. “It was designed to kill the American economy.”

In short, that is the Treaty of Paris. It is forcing America to become impoverished by ditching the fossil fuels that underpin our prosperity, even though renewables are currently unable to fill the void, on the dubious premise that the planet’s temperature will drop as a result.

China is the world’s largest emitter of carbon dioxide, nearly double the size of US production and growing. But it has a special exemption under the treaty to continue building coal-fired power plants. Under Paris, China doesn’t even have to start cutting emissions until 2030.

Meanwhile, under the original Obama-era deal, America is required to reduce its emissions of

26 to 28 percent over the next five years.

These draconian energy restrictions are estimated to cost the United States up to 2.7 million jobs by 2025, according to National Economic Research Associates.

But Biden has vowed to go further, eliminating carbon emissions from the electricity sector entirely by 2035 and imposing strict gas mileage standards to reach zero emissions by 2050.

In terms of American decline, the Paris Climate Treaty is this decade’s version of China’s entry into the WTO.

Xi, of course, is a big fan, seeing him as another tool to accelerate America’s decline.

On Monday, he urged the G-20 to push for full implementation, saying China will reach zero emissions by 2060. “China will honor its commitment,” he said.

It’s a downside, but you can bet Biden and Kerry will fall in love, like they did last time around.

And don’t expect their media support team to cry foul.

Why we need cops

Two heroic cops were gunned down in Queens in response to a domestic violence call this week.

They fought back and saved a woman living in fear of her abusive husband. How would the social workers have handled the situation, other than becoming additional victims?

Every day we see the madness of cutting police funding.

The kids in class now!

The tragedy of a lost generation of COVID was laid bare this week in shocking data for Virginia’s largest school system: F grades are up 83% and it’s worse for students with disabilities.

We know it’s worse or worse in New York City, which is why the city must bypass the teachers’ unions and reopen its schools no matter what. These children will need urgent remedial supervision in the basics, with no room for politically correct extras.
