On May 10, a representative of Luis Saez at the Stewards Video Review presented evidence showing that other horses were the cause of any interference in the Kentucky Derby. Presented by Woodford Reserve (G1) on May 4th at Churchill Downs.
On Friday, during the video screening session, the stewards took no immediate action against Saez, who finished first in the lead. Matt Muzikar, Tyler Gaffalione's agent, said on Friday that his rider did not cause the fault.
"I agree with the initial decision of the stewards, which is consistent with the vast majority of people in the industry who watched the race," Muzikar said.
Oldfather said stewards should consider leniency because of the size of the 19 horse field and the relatively young Derby horses. She also argues that the maximum safety was either clear or "seven eighths of white" from other horses throughout the race.
Oldfather said she was also looking to get the high-definition broadcast of the NBC race.
On his Twitter page, Gaffalione claimed that he had never interfered with rivals and had declared that maximum security was causing problems by turning away.

Immediately after the race, Saez acknowledged that his horse might have gone out, but that he did not think to upset his rivals.
"I thought I would never put anyone in danger," said Saez after the race. "My horse fled the noise of the crowd and maybe ducked out a bit."
