Lumen’s Metabolism Tracker App Comes to Apple Watch

[ad_1]

Lumen is a crowdfunded tracking device that claims to analyze your breathing to determine what state your metabolism is in. Now the company behind it is launching an app for the Apple Watch to make it easier for you to use the hardware when you’re on the go. Users will be able to operate the device and then see the results on their wrists, in a way that CTO and co-founder Avi Smila says is “seamlessly integrated into everyday life.”

Lumen’s pitch is basically to allow you to learn as and when you should eat and in what amounts. The system can tell you when to eat, based on your metabolism, and suggests carbohydrate servings, meal plans, and macros for the day. If the lack of a smartwatch app has kept you from buying a Lumen so far, you can buy a unit for as little as $ 199, plus a monthly subscription of $ 19 per month.
