In other words, the Davis company will not be paid unless it offers a system capable of carrying up to 11,000 passengers per hour.
The cost is estimated to be between $ 35 and $ 55 million, depending on the route, number and size of stations.
Boring was chosen at the end of a selection process launched in December 2018 and which resulted in six applications.
Two of them became serious suitors, the board of directors having chosen Boring Tuesday to go ahead with a construction contract.
Negotiations will continue for several months for a final contract to be presented to the council in June.
Today, some council members wanted the vote postponed, fearing that they had not been adequately informed.
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman was worried. The Boring Company has not yet proven itself.
