Here’s the deal … Kraft and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream joined forces to create a limited edition mac and cheese ice cream flavor and the demand was so great for the start of the dessert the website crashed into 9 minutes and the entire 2,000 pint inventory was cleared online within an hour.

The ice cream launched on Wednesday on National Mac and Cheese Day – yes, it’s a real thing – and, in addition to online sales, they sold it at brick and mortar stores in Van. Leeuwen all over the country. Well, for a brief period anyway … we’re told it only took 3 hours to sell their 9,000 scoops.
