Mackinac Bridge is now open after bomb threat

MACKINAW CITY, Mich. (WILX) – UPDATE: The Mackinac Bridge is open again after being closed due to a bomb threat, according to the bridge authority.

The threat was discovered around 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, but after a thorough search, police found no threat to the public.

Traffic was closed in both directions while police investigated the incident. The investigation lasted just under three hours.
