Madden NFL 22 will launch soon, and in parallel, EA is hosting another edition of its Madden Championship Series. It’s open to everyone, and this year it has a total prize pool of $ 1.65 million.
The Championship Series is actually a Madden Tournament Series, with the first starting on August 21. From there, the Thanksgiving tournament starts in September and runs through November. The third round, Wild Card, begins in October and ends in January, and the series ends with the Madden Bowl from January through February.
Doing well in the first three tournaments earns you points in addition to giving you a chance to win preliminary money. The top 12 players from the three tournaments on PlayStation and Xbox qualify to play Madden Bowl, which has a grand prize of $ 250,000. Registrations for the ladder stage of the first tournament are open from now until August 21.
Madden NFL 22, meanwhile, will be released on August 22, and EA is working on a number of tweaks that it says will dramatically change gameplay. These include a speedometer that will react depending on how you play; Momentum can unlock buffs or debuffs, including area-specific perks. EA also continues to invest in using real-world stats from the NFL season to improve player behavior, and has overhauled the game’s AI to be more realistic.
