Hyun-Jin Ryu was his usual dominant last night but hit 99 shots in six innings and needed three innings in memory to keep a 3-1 lead. That did not happen and the Dodgers gave up their first game in Anaheim. Today, the Dodgers are looking to save a split in two parts.

Kenta Maeda begins today for the Dodgers.
Maeda has thrown the ball very well lately, despite the fact that the Dodgers are guarding his seemingly limited grounds. He has not made more than 90 shots in a match since April 16, but he has been pretty effective lately. In his last five starts, Maeda has rolled 28 innings and two-thirds and has a points average of 1.88. At this point, his opponents split .140 / .173 / .250 against Maeda, and he pulled out 35 with just three walks. On his last start, Maeda was eliminated after just 70 shots / five innings. He allowed one point and only three downs for these five innings, but was removed for Julio Urias before being able to face training for the third time in Arizona.
Angels are using a work today, with Cam Bedrosian get the start. He started a game six times this season and he did not see the second run in his first six starts. Bedrosian launched the seventh inning last night and pulled out two Dodgers in a perfect run. Per Jorge Castillo, Felix Pena will take over after Bedrosian.
Pena made regular starts in his first four appearances of the season, but played in the second set of seven of his eight outings since. He played a relief match on May 26, but Pena made at least 60 shots in his 11 other outings this season. He had a pretty solid season, with a silver medal of 3.42 and a .027 OPS in his first 11 outings of the season. However, he was bombarded on his last outing, allowing eight hits and seven runs in 1 2/3 innings without allowing a circuit (impressive). Pena is first and foremost a thrower with two shots, throwing a slider and a lead each more than 40% of the time.
The Dodgers are essentially the same alignment as last night. Austin Barnes replaces Russell Martin behind the plate and the position of the receivers drops to the ninth of the order, with Chris Taylor and Enrique Hernandez slide a place. For angels Shohei Ohtani strikes third and is the DH. Albert Pujols gets the day off as Justin Bour is up Triple-A and back in the lineup.

Caleb Ferguson is back after being sent on May 26th. His first run in the paddock this year did not go smoothly, since he allowed 30 shots and 11 points in 16 2/3. He replaces Scott Alexander, which has not launched since June 5 but relay IL is retroactive to June 8.

Cody Bellinger is, unsurprisingly, the best vote winner in the Major League Baseball. He is also falling a bit right now, so I'm sure we can agree to blame the Home Run Derby. Joc Pederson is the fourth to vote off the field at the NL (because he is curled up, that does not mean he should not be), and Corey Seager and Justin Turner are in the first three in their respective positions.
