2019 Porsche Macan facelift teased

We have seen Porsche Macan facelift spyshots in the past, but the company has now released official photos of mules undergoing high altitude testing in Lesotho, South Africa. According to Porsche, the new Macan will make its world debut in China by the end of July, which is not so far away.

These photos show that the Macan is undergoing a battery of tests to ensure that all components, updated or not, are able to provide the necessary performance both on and off the road. The Macan is an important model for the company with more than 350,000 units delivered worldwide since 2014, so it is essential to make sure everything is fine.

Rumors indicate that there will be a power increase for gasoline Macans, although diesel variants would not be offered because of the new emissions regulations. A hybrid version is also said to be reserved for the next-generation model, and it will be missed with the facelift

Regarding the visuals, the Macan will not have a drastic change in its form , with most revisions being discreet tweaks settings. The new lighting units are part of the updates, those at the back seeming to gain a luminous bar connecting them like on the Cayenne E3. Elsewhere, there are redesigned bumpers and new hexagonal exhaust tips.

With the exception of interior shots, the latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system should be present. This will justify a new look for the dashboard and a significant drop in the number of buttons, if the new Cayenne is an indication.
