The new generation GLE will be built on the new platform MHA
Mercedes-Benz recently published the sketches for the Inside its new generation GLE SUV. And from the previous sketches and spyshots of the new generation GLE, it is confirmed that the dashboard will be completely re-designed and will have two fully digital screens as standard equipment. The cabin will also receive a complete re-jig and it goes without saying, have a new design. Reports suggest that the new-generation GLE will have a 12.3-inch touch-screen infotainment system since all Mercedes vehicles will migrate from the old COMAND system to the new MBUX system. The MBUX has been seen for the first time on the new generation Class A and will eventually reach all models in the range.
With the cabin and the dashboard, the new generation GLE will also feature a brand new steering wheel with a new design and have controls for about 18 functions. There will be two small touch pads on the steering wheel inside the spokes. A larger touchpad will be on the center console for all embedded functions. The air conditioner vents will now have a square shape and will be placed under the touch screen infotainment system. There will be four nozzles in the middle, which is also the case with other Mercedes models such as the S-Class and the E-Class.
Other features include updated ambient lighting, which , according to Mercedes, will not look like anything before. In addition, the new generation GLE will have an increased wheelbase, which means that there will be more space for the rear passengers. Mercedes-Benz has not published teasers or sketches for the Aft Cabin
