Jonit brought the children back to the apartment, then took a knife into the kitchen and hid it in his back pocket.

After Sulastri left the apartment with the older daughter, Jonit confronted Mrs. Sri Idayu and asked her if she had gone out the night before. According to him, she replied, with curses, that it was not his business.

On hearing this, he took out the knife and began stabbing it.

Jonit stopped stabbing when he saw the girl in the room. He ran to the kitchen to throw the knife out the window and fled the apartment.

The girl then ran to tell her aunt and older sister what had happened. Sulastri called the police when she saw her sister covered with blood.

Jonit then went to two police officers who were dispatched to the scene.

Sri Idayu was hospitalized with wounds to the face, chest, abdomen and hands. She died at around 4:30 am the next day

An autopsy revealed at least 30 stab wounds to her body, including eight fatal ones.

The prosecution requested a 10-year prison sentence, while the defense was asking for five to seven years in prison.
