Mini Electric was teased earlier this year and shows the automaker's ambition to push toward lower emissions
Now that the car debuted in the UK at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the manufacturer has published the first sketches of the production.
However, the exposed car was simply meant to display the outside of the car and was not a functional EV, but simply a prototype.

The design of the car embodies elements of the current variant of the internal combustion engine, associated with new characteristics indicative of its electrical nature.
The hexagonal shape is indicative of Mini but the closed nature is new to the EV.
Mini opted for a brilliant black d This last recalls the grille of the first variants of the Tesla Model S, but he added two yellow bands and a new EV badge.

The other new sketch shows the bold alloy wheel design that takes up the Electric Mini concept that was unveiled in 2017.

When the Electric Mini will be launched in 2019, it will be 60 years since the original Mini was launched for the first time and the new car will carry the flame of the iconic car in the next generation.
