KUALA LUMPUR: A defamation suit filed by Kedah Menteri Besar Tengku Sarifuddin, 56, in his statement of excuses that he read before Judge Datuk Ahmad Zaidi Ibrahim , also regretted the negative implications Mukhriz as a result of media statements issued by him and promised not to do so again.

Mukhriz claimed that the statements implied that he was directly involved with his father , Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, and Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin with the aim of overthrowing a democratically elected government.
