KUCHING: Two senior officers of Biro Tatanegara (BTN) are among five suspects arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for making false claims amounting to RM 600,000.
suspects, consisting of three men and two women aged between 34 and 55, were arrested while traveling to the MACC office in Sarawak at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday, July 24 to register their statements.

The suspects would have benefited from the companies they chose. They were also said to have control of the BTN account and used the money for personal purposes.
"Investigations revealed that about 70% of the services or supplies provided by companies to BTN did not exist or were not realized" The Director of MACC Sarawak, Razim Mohd Noor, who confirmed the arrests, said that they were getting documents related to the case.

Suspects should be remanded in Kuching District Court on Wednesday, July 25.
