The PM reacts positively to the prioritization of the sports plans of Lae

Priority will be given to the province of Morobe as part of sports infrastructure expansion plans
Prime Minister Peter O'Neill said this in response to the governor Morobe, Ginson Saonu, who asked if the government put two stadia in Lae; A player for football and one for the rugby league.
Mr. Saonu stated that the recent match between PNG Hunters and the North Devils in Lae showed that people could behave in international events, unlike the past. thank the police and organizers for making the event successful. Lae is growing and attracting investors, and there is an interest in watching sports.
"Before the end of this legislature, can the government help build a rugby stadium in Lae, or can the government build a big stadium for football?" Saonu said.
Mr. O. Neill said that in the recent game, Lae showed the peaceful and exemplary way in which the country could benefit. with the program people we want to deploy, not only in Lae, but also in many of the larger cities and provinces, especially when many provinces want to host the PNG Games every two years and certainly try to take advantage of that, "I can assure the good governor that we will work together to find a program that we can work together."
