In this regard, the SPA chairman, Datuk Lau Pang Heng, said that it was "very disappointing" to learn that the Minister of Economic Affairs Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said the payment oil royalties of 20% would be based on net profit, not on gross oil and gas production.

"If the PH Government is sincere in its practice of transparency and accountability, it should fulfill its election promise to the people of Sarawak by granting Sarawak the 20% oil royalty based on production because the Sarawakians are waiting.
