OnePlus 6T vs Xiaomi Poco F1: A detailed comparison of specifications and features of the new OnePlus flagship phone with Poco F1
Oneplus 6T, the new OnePlus flagship has arrived in the Indian market. OnePlus 6T is priced at Rs 37,999 for the base model that comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Similar to the previous OnePlus ‘T’ models, the successor to the near six-month-old OnePlus 6 comes with a few upgrades.
OnePlus 6T now features a slightly tall 6.41-inch full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top. The phone packs a slightly bigger 3,700mAh battery as well compared to OnePlus 6 that has a 3,300mAh battery. Another major change in the new OnePlus 6T is the inclusion of an in-display fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus 6T will likely take on the flagship models from leading brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei etc. However, considering its price, the new OnePlus 6T has an affordable competitor as well which is the Poco F1.
We compare OnePlus 6T with Xiaomi Poco F1 based on specifications and features.
OnePlus 6T vs Xiaomi Poco F1: Design, display
OnePlus 6T features near similar design language as the OnePlus 6. It has a glass design with a metal frame surrounding the perimeters. The dual rear cameras are placed at the centre with OnePlus logo inscribed below it.
The major difference on the OnePlus 6T over its predecessor is the addition of in-display fingerprint sensor. The bezels on the front-fascia have been trimmed down and the phone now features a small waterdrop notch.
OnePlus 6T has also done away with the standard 3.5mm audio jack.
Coming to Xiaomi Poco F1, the mid-range smartphone is built out of polycarbonate, which is not as premium as the OnePlus 6T. But there is a Poco F1 Armoured Edition with Kevlar back panel.
The phone has a large cutout on top of its display and the borders around the display are thicker compared to OnePlus 6T. The bottom chin on the phone is also thick. The notification LED is on the top. Moreover, the Poco F1 features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, instead of an in-display fingerprint scanner. But Poco has retained the 3.5mm audio jack, which will appeal to many users.

OnePlus 6T sports a tall 6.41-inch full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with a teardrop notch on top and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display has a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and supports sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamut. The front panel has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 layered on top for added protection.
In comparison, Poco F1 features a 6.18-inch IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The display has a resolution of 2246×1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
OnePlus 6T vs Xiaomi Poco F1: Processing hardware
Both OnePlus 6T and Xiaomi Poco F1 carry Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 which is paired with Adreno 630 GPU for graphics rendition. Poco F1 comes with Liquid Cooling technology as well which meant to keep the temperature in check and provide a sustained level of performance while running high-end graphics intensive games for extended hours or with heavy-duty tasking.
OnePlus 6T vs Xiaomi Poco F1: Camera and software
OnePlus 6T carries similar dual camera configuration as the OnePlus 6. The camera set up on the phone comprises of a 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor and a 20MP secondary camera with a f/1.7 aperture. The cameras are capable of shooting 4K videos at 60fps and super slow-mo 1080p videos at 240 frames-per-second.
The phone has a 16MP front-facing camera that comes with f/2.0 aperture and supports EIS (electronic image stabilisation). OnePlus has added a Nightscape mode to the phone’s camera software, which is meant to enhance low-light photography and brighten the images.

Meanwhile, Poco F1 sports dual-rear camera having a 12MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP secondary camera that is meant for adding depth effect. The cameras come with dual pixel PDAF and are capable of recording slow-mo 1080p videos at 240 frames-per-second.
Poco F1 has a 20MP front-facing camera and it includes an IR illuminator to support facial recognition feature.
OnePlus 6T features an in-display fingerprint sensor
On the software front, OnePlus 6T runs OxygenOS based Android 9.0 Pie. The phone offers stock Android like features, including an app drawer. Xiaomi Poco F1 runs Android 8.1 Oreo which is based on the custom MIUI 9.5 skin, though they have an included an app drawer as well.

OnePlus has upgraded the battery capacity on its new flagship model. OnePlus 6T now carries a slightly bigger 3,700mAh instead of 3,300mAh battery capacity found on OnePlus 6. The phone supports the in-house Dash Charge technology.
Meanwhile, Poco F1 packs a huge 4,000mAh battery and support Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 3.0 fast charging technology.

OnePlus has launched three variants of the OnePlus 6T that include- 6GB RAM/128GB storage, 8GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/256GB storage option. This time around, the company has done away with the 64GB storage version. OnePlus 6T will be available in Midnight Black and Mirror Black colour variants.

Poco F1 come in three RAM and storage configuration as well. The standard edition of the phone comes in 6GB RAM/64GB storage, 6GB RAM/128GB storage option, while the Poco F1 Armoured edition comes with 8GB RAM/256GB storage.
OnePlus 6T vs Xiaomi Poco F1: Price in India
OnePlus 6T costs at Rs 37,999 for the 6GB RAM model. The 8GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/256GB storage models come for a price of Rs 41,999 and Rs 45,999 respectively. In comparison, Poco F1 tags a slightly lower price.
The base version which carries 6GB RAM/6GB storage comes for a cost of Rs 20,999 and 6GB RAM/128GB storage model comes for a price of Rs 23,999. The Armoured edition with 8GB RAM/256GB model has been priced at Rs 29,999.
