KUALA LUMPUR: The government is still considering the amount of compensation payable to the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) for the acquisition of two companies related to the Automated Enforcement System (AES) project.
Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar said several discussions were held with the Ministry of Finance and the Attorney General's Chambers following the cancellation of the contract and compensation requested by LTAT.
"In the latest discussion on Oct 26, all parties agreed that the final claim will be paid to the Ministry of Finance to review all the cost elements submitted," he said in response to a question from Wan Hassan Mohd Ramli (PAS-Dungun), who was pleased to be paid for by the Road Transport Department (JPJ). – Bernama
