KUCHING: Sarawak should not be misled by some evidence that the federal government left it out in the 2019 national budget.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said that despite the country's poor financial situation, the budget presented by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng included all sectors and all layers of society .
"When we tabled the budget, politicians and members of the Sarawak government continued to attack us for two days in the press, claiming that we were not taking care of Sarawak, unlike the former prime minister. The national secretary in charge of the DAP organization said that although the DAP Sarawak could have an additional advantage in the election because the PH belonged to the federal government, this did not mean that the party would misuse his resources to participate in his campaign.
"What we can help our comrades in Sarawak is that all members of the federal government will work hard to change our policies … in order to implement good policies and prove to Sarawak voters that we can become a better government.
"We will put in place better governance and develop the country more gradually, so we will help our Sarawak comrades to conquer the voters of Sarawak in the next elections."
