The government has approved five new projects worth 477.5 million RMB for Sarawak next year.
In a statement, the Ministry of Public Works today announced the modernization of the Jalan Datuk Mohd Musa Road 8101 (Kota Samarahan), at a cost of RM 243 million, and the construction of an access road to Kuching International Airport (129 million).
Other projects include the construction of a Jalan Medan Jaya-Jalan Tun Hussein Onn Bridge in Bintulu (RM 100 million), a new Sarawak-Sabah Road (RM 2) and a SMK pedestrian bridge. Bandar Bintulu (3 RM). million.
In addition, the ministry indicated that it would also continue the implementation of several infrared projects currently underway in Sarawak, including the Sarawak Pan Borneo Highway, covering 11 packages at a cost of 16, RM 48 billion.
Other projects are the modernization of Jalan Nyabau-Bakun (637 million RM), the construction of a passing lane Pan-Borneo highway (24 million RM), the modernization of Jalan Kampung Seberang of Sarikei (48 million RM) and the modernization of Jalan Batu 10 15, Jalan Kuching-Serian (84 million rand).
The ministry said the government had approved more than 20 billion RM of projects under Malaysia's Eleventh Plan for Implementation in Sarawak.
Up to now, 10 projects, worth over RM 1 billion, are ready and include Jambatan Batang Sadong, Jambatan Batang Samarahan, Jambatan Sungai Pusa, Jambatan Sungai Sarawak and Jalan Kirudong's transformation into Samalaju Industrial Park.
In addition, the Ministry welcomed the 2019 budget of the Sarawak Government, which provided RM 1.5 billion to finance the construction of the Batang Lupar, Batang Igan (311 million) and Batang Rambongan (142 million) bridges.
All three projects were set aside by the federal government because of financial constraints.
