Subaru has announced a new limited edition model for the Japanese market, with the WRX STI TC 380 being a new line of special WRX models sold in this market. Only 50 units will be offered, each selling 4,965,840 yen (RM 182,232).
Japanese rally driver Toshihiro Arai, who competed at the World Rally Championship (WRC) and Japan Rally Championship (JRC) with Subaru, is the person who oversees the modifications that enter the TC 380, the digital part possibly indicating horsepower makes.
The starting point is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, to which many HKS parts have been added, including a GT III RS Sport turbine kit, a Super Turbo resonator and a metal catalyst. In addition to this, Arai Motorsport will also install an RQA air filter and an internal front chassis reinforcement, the latter to increase the frame stiffness.
The TC 380 will also feature a carbon fiber lip spoiler and recaro numbered bucket seats, both unique to the model. A full set of photos of the car will be released when the manufacturer launches a website dedicated to the model.
