Team Secret swept Vici Gaming in the opening day of best-of-three playoff matches to secure a top-eight finish at the Kuala Lumpur Major.

It was a rematch between teams that went five games in the ESL One Hamburg finals two weeks ago.

This time around, Secret made quick work of the first game, winning in less than 30 minutes. They came from behind to win the second game and earn the 2-0 victory.

PSG.LGD were equally dominating in their sweep of Alliance in the second match of the Upper Bracket. After making quick work of the first game, the Chinese team also closed out the 2-0 victory with ease.

Secret and PSG.LGD have yet to lose a single match during the event, but are on a collision course in Round 3.

On the other half of the bracket in Round 2, EG will face NiP Dota2, while Virtus.Pro will play fnatic.

Alliance will face TnC P in Round 2 of the Lower Bracket, where VG is also slated to play paiN X in elimination matches.

The playoffs began Sunday and run through Nov. 18, with the final three days of competition taking place in front of a live crowd. The Grand Finals will feature a best-of-five match.
