THE NEW KTM 790 Adventure is one of the biggest new bikes from the Milan show. And British Tire Firm Avon has pulled off a pretty big blow – it's got the deal to supply KTM with it TrailRider rubber has the OE tire fitment for the new middleweight dirtbike.
These deals might look like dull logistics from the outside. But it's actually a very hard-fought gig. There are the following benefits of the OE suplier, and many riders stick to the OE tire situation at service time too – so there are more sales there as well. It's a real feather in Avon's caption that it's beaten off the competition for this contract. The firm's latest TrailRider dual-sport rubber will be fitted to the 790 Adventures as they leave the factory – the Adventure R will wear more dirt-biased Karoo 3s.

British motorcycle brand Avon Tires is the original equipment (OE) fitment for the KTM 790 ADVENTURE launched at EICMA 2018 (6-11 November), in Milan.
The KTM 790 ADVENTURE has a lightweight, high performance bike that is so happy on the street as it is off-road. With a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear, these come fitted with Avon TrailRider tires – a dual sport option.
TrailRider Adventure Sport Touring provides extra mileage, stability and grip in all weather conditions on all surfaces.
The TrailRider features the latest in carcass construction technology along with Avon's tri-compound tread, which provides a softer compound on the tread edge, for more grip; a harder center compound for mileage, and a low-hysteresis bonding compound under the surface tread. The tread compounds themselves are very high in silica, for superb wet weather performance.
By using the most compact engine in the segment, the LC8c delivers 95hp, the overall packaging of the all-new KTM 790 ADVENTURE offers both machine and rider many advantages, with the main benefits in the ergonomics and handling.
