KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 – A coalition of Malay-Muslim groups is threatening to protest Minister of Education Maszlee Malik in seven days, if he ignores his call for not recognizing the certificate of death. Unified Examination (UEC).

The UEC is the end-of-studies certificate issued by an independent Chinese.
There are about 60 independent Chinese schools in Malaysia, of which more than 20 are in East Malaysia.
The CEU is recognized in Singapore. he has limited recognition in Sarawak, Selangor and Penang.
